GOKE DOKUN – MANAGING DIRECTOR
Goke is a consummate entrepreneur and has been involved in start-up businesses and growing them to become viable enterprises. A mechanical engineering graduate with a wealth of experience in IT solutions and event management both in UK and Nigeria.
In 2015, Goke Co-founded Advent Integrated Services Limited an EPC company with focus on development in the affordable real estate sector (mainly housing and hostel development).
In 2012, he led a private sector initiative for the first time in Olympic history in partnership with Pixcom of France to organize the Africa Village expo at the Kensington Gardens in London to promote Africa tourism and culture during the Olympics in London. A first of its kind in the Olympic movement and it attracted over 80, 000 people in 10days.
Goke at various times has worked as country representative and consultant to the Commonwealth Business Council in facilitating investment promotion for various projects especially Independent Power Project (IPP) and solar power street lighting in Nigeria between 2008 to 2011.
In 2006, he set up Inspire Media Production Company in 2007 where he developed and produced advertiser funded TV programmes like the ‘Creative Academii’ in partnership with Cross River State Government and First Bank Nigeria Plc, the acclaimed Business TV program ‘The Entrepreneur’ which has given over $160,000 to Nigerian entrepreneurs with unique and innovative ideas as grants and the 45-episode Olympic Trail TV with the Nigeria Olympic Committee.
In 2004, he co-founded Qhost Webs, an innovative web solutions company with specialty in software/web development and media streaming technology setting up then Nigeria’s first commercial online station, the RadiolagosEKOFM online radio station. They were amongst the early pioneers of e-registration web portals in Nigeria education sector.
Prior to been an entrepreneur, Goke has work experiences with Shell Petroleum Development Company in 1992 as Trainee Production Engineer, Tafotech Quarries and Group in 1998 as Assistant Maintenance Engineer, ExxonMobil Producing Unlimited in 1999 as Trainee Facilities Engineer, Bourne Leisure Group Hertfordshire UK in 2002 and Tilda UK in 2003.
